babies, babies, babies!

Oh it's baby girl season apparently. I got to work with these two beauties and their families in the past couple of weeks. It's a tricky age; they don't sleep as much as they used to, but they're not content being awake and not held by mama or daddy. They can sense mom and her milk nearby and they want nothin', nothin' to do with me. So we improvise! And we get amazing shots of these precious tinies just cuddling and snuggling and cooing and being happy close to mom and dad.

I told the parents today, this is what we do with our babies. This is what we want to remember; these moments where we hold them and touch them. We smell them and sing to them. You won't remember the day you laid them on a beanbag and had some lady come in and snap photos of them. I like to be in the business of making memories. When you look back at your images, you should be able to feel what you felt at that time, on that day. They should remind you how full your heart was and how content your family was. More and more I realize how precious these moments are and how important it is to preserve them.

New pricing info

I've decided my pricing schedule needed some serious work. I was formerly offering all prints a la carte after session fee. I had several people express that they'd love to see more structured pricing so they'd know exactly how much they'd be investing in a photo session with me. The new pricing comes in three basic packages. I will still be offering mini sessions every so often and am considering offering co-op mini sessions so that if you get two friends/family members to purchase a mini session, you can do it anytime you want, not just the day I've offered mini sessions. More info on that coming soon.




I'm also going to be starting a new referral incentive. If you send someone to me and they make and keep their appointment, you will receive a free 20 dollar print credit and there is no limit to the number of credits you can earn. All because I LOVE YOU ;]






SESSION FEES: 50 percent deposit required upon booking to hold your date. Balance due upon arrival.

1-HOUR SESSION: $160 One hour of shooting at one location for up to 3 people and 20-30 edited proofs. Great for maternity photos, engagements, small families, or children only. Includes $100 print credit.

90-MINUTE SESSION: $210 90 minutes of shooting at one or two locations for up to 5 people and 35-45 edited proofs. Great for families with more than three individuals or those who desire two locations. Includes $150 print credit.

2-HOUR SESSION: $270 Two hours of shooting at one or two locations for up to 8 people and 60-70 edited proofs. Great for large/extended family photos. Includes $180 print credit.

EVENT PHOTOGRAPHY (excluding weddings): On location at your next birthday party, graduation, Bar/Bat Mitzvah, baby shower, or bridal shower. This service enables you to enjoy your event without worrying about capturing all the important moments on camera. No more missing the "photographer" from every photo. Prices start at $140 for two hours of coverage; each additional hour, $45. Includes image CD suitable for printing up to 5x7.

WEDDINGS: Packages start at $1000 and include print packages. Contact me for more information.

LOW-RESOLUTION CD: $25 CD with all edited images from your shoot in low-resolution format. Images will have a small watermark in lower right corner and are not suitable for printing. Your CD is perfect for e-mail, Facebook, etc. Makes a great gift for far-away friends and family!

Well, hang with me here. Seems like all the cool photographers have one of these photo blog thingies. I've fiddled around for a while here and can't quite figure things out but hopefully, eventually, I will be keeping my clients, friends, fans, and family updated on what I've been doing on this blog. I've been using Facebook but the image quality is pretty shoddy which drives me nuts. Can't wait to start showing you what I've shot recently without "sorry this image is crappy" disclaimers.
